The population of Bartow is projected to nearly double in the next several years. With its historic charm, proximity to larger cities and an influx of newcomers, we are telling the stories that show why Bartow is a special place and leading conversations about what the future holds.

Using the award-winning photography and writing that established The Lakelander magazine as a trusted community magazine we highlight the people, places, history, businesses and culture of the self-proclaimed “Capital City” of Polk County.

The Bartownian is a free magazine distributed throughout the Downtown and main retail corridor of Bartow. It is published seasonally in March, June, September and December.
