Bid on One-of-a-Kind Wreaths to Support the History Center

The Polk County History Center is ushering in the holiday season with its 15th Annual Festival of Wreaths. Visit the History Center to see the beautiful wreaths decorated by Polk residents, organizations and businesses. If you see a wreath you love, place a bid for it by midnight on December 11 in the silent auction at apps.polk-county.net/unitedway/auctions.aspx.

Proceeds from the auction will benefit the History Center’s educational programming.

The museum serves Polk County residents and visitors through educational programs, special events and volunteer opportunities.

The museum collection includes natural and cultural objects related to Polk and the greater Central Florida area that represent our history from pre-Columbian to present day eras. The artifacts on display at the museum represent individuals, cultural groups and events significant to the region.
